RUBBER DUB DUCKY (IN MY BATH)

Download

Let me tell you a story...

I've got a rubber ducky in my bath
Oh, it makes good company, it makes me laugh
Got a rubber ducky in my bath
It makes good company, it makes me laugh

You’re the only one who’s seen me naked, you really have
And I like to play with you in my porcelain bath

I've got a rubber ducky in my bath
Oh, it makes good company, it makes me laugh
Got a rubber ducky in my bath
It makes good company, it makes me laugh

Rubber ducky in my bath
It makes good company, it makes me laugh
Rubber ducky in my bath
It makes good company, it makes me laugh

Rubber dub ducky, rubber dub ducky
Rubber dub ducky, rubber dub ducky
Rubber dub ducky, rubber dub ducky
Rubber dub ducky, rubber dub duck, duck

Release notes:
All words by Tico Jnr., except duck plunge by un-named single-use plastic maker

Tico Jnr. chomps:

This is all about a complex relationship. The inspiration of many words and musical graffiti.

Those less educated than a gnat suggest this is nothing but a simple ditty with no dynamic changes. They cannot fathom the intro leading into the romp, before the erectile-dysfunction-fixing takes a bow in the bring it down section. Erection section - not 'arf!

Bri Jnr. smugly recites:

This is more like it Tico, some effort to construct an original song- ok, so it's only three repeating chords with no dynamic changes whatsoever but you have to pat him on the back for at least trying.

This is actually one of my very favourite Bri-less Space Brain dittys, it makes my head wobble like David Gray having an orgasm. The relentlessness of those three discordant chords and Tico howling in ecstasy about the pleasures of sharing a porcelain bath with his prized Rubber Dub Ducky, the one true love of his life. It brings a tear or two to my ducts.

Rumour has it that Tico actually recorded the vocal for this while splashing about in the bath, shower cap on and Radox bubbles a-bubbling. It's a wonder that he didn't electrocute himself in the process but Tico insists on artistic authenticity at all times, even if it results in a visit to A&E afterwards. And I do admire him so for this- he is a true artist, the Yoko Ono of the 21st century.
