I like the way your skin is peeling
I like the way this riff is misleading
I like the way you massage my head
I like the way you slice the bread
I like the way you apply the lube
I like the way you tug at my pubes
But most of all... but most of all...
I like the way you... argh!
I hear with my little ear something beginning with 'X'
A xylophone in my home I cannot give it a rest
I hear with my little ear something beginning 'H'
Harmonica there's stopping ya though the hour is late
I spent the night on the tiles
Throwing shapes and smiling smiles
Ended the night in your face
Your licking lips can't get enough of my taste
This riff is sleazy
My hair is greasy
Don't try to tease me
Your lines are cheesy
I hear with my little ear something beginning with 'D'
Dramatic drumming, guitars are strumming in the key of 'E'
I hear with my little ear something beginning with 'S'
Saxophone I hear you moan I like to think you're the best
I spent my money on you
We took a trip to the zoo
We hit the January sales
My direct debits then failed
I pondered around the garden
I picked up the trowel
The flowers give me a hard-on
I covered it with a towel
Fuck you!
Release notes:
All words & music by Bri Jnr. & Tico Jnr.
Tico ponders:
I hear another great collab' (no pun intended). Bri leading the way (as usual), but with me carefully navigating him to ensure we did a good one. I think Bri is a particular fan of this number, often singing it while sitting outside budget supermarkets doing his daily busking and gathering of biscuits to take back to his highly profitable (not profiterole) business. The genius of this song is a blatant theft of a nursery rhyme.
Bri recalls:
This is where I, Bri went all out to compose the godfather of epic rock albums. Starting with the not at all-suggestive title (it merely describes my favourite strumming posture) I built the song from the ground up, laying the foundations with an undeniably instant classic guitar riff that renders the likes of 'Smoke On The Water' and 'Whole Lotta Love' as no longer necessary. Before that legendary riff kicks in though, both Tico and myself tease you, the listener, with delightful compliments about liking the way you do certain things. Just to show our appreciation to those fans who have given us a reasonably enjoyable life. Following that tease, we aimed to please and the remainder of the song rocks harder than a 'Slippery When Wet' reject.
A lyrical twist on 'I Spy' (one of my favourite pastimes) dominates the verses while elsewhere, smiles are smiled, floral arrangements arouse and direct debits fail. If Bob Dylan had ventured into the world of hair metal, he may have missed on similar lyrical subjects. I gave Tico plenty of room to abuse his six string on the outro and he delivers with a volley of screaming shredded notes that leave you in no doubt that you are listening to the greatest rock song since the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy teamed up with Jimmy Page on the Godzilla soundtrack.
